A Very Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!  Sorry I have been MIA for a few days.  The family and I have been having some much needed family time and celebrating the holiday.  It is so hard to imagine that next year, Brighton will be off at school and so we are doing a lot of family stuff.  Movies, games, just hanging out and talking.....

Today tho, I wanted to share with you some Christmas projects I made for Hydrangea Hippo using the Vintage Mistletoe kit.

I chose to start with an advent calendar.  Lili doesn't have one so I knew I wanted to create onefor her.  Being that she is still very young, I kept it simple.
Twenty-five simple rosettes, accented with some a few of the cute embellishments from the kit with magnets on the back...
And of course lots of glitter on the numbers that I cut using my Cricut machine
helped make this calendar simple, yet elegant.  Something my sister can proudly hang in her house, but still can be played with.
My second project is a mini album to house my December Daily photos.  I had been following a list I found on Pinterest...and although I have yet to print any of the photos that go inside, this year I did manage to take most of them.  lol  I just am not a December Daily person I guess.
Again, lots of the fun embellishments and trims help decorate my cover
and bits of the stickers, trims...
and fussy cutting round out my pages.  I really love the mix of papers and embellishments in this kit.
A simple binding with my Bind-it-All holds it all together.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs.

Hooray for Long Weekends

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great day.  I can't believe that Friday is already here and that we in the US are celebrating Labor Day.  Where did the summer go?

If you are looking for the Sampler blog hop post please go here....

If you just want to drop in and maybe have a cup of coffee....see what I have been up to?  lol

How about another project I did for Hydrangea Hippo using the Island Summer kit.   I really love this kit and decided one of the projects I just had to make was a mini album. So many fun goodies in the kit...how could I resist.

This kit features some gorgeous papers from Trinity Paper Arts.  Perfect for all those beach photos.
 And the buttons///
 And the trims......
And of course I put it all together with my Bind-it-All.
I hope to use this for some of the hundreds of photos I took while in Hawaii!  hee hee

OK, well....lots going on here as usual.  Spending a lot of time working one on one with Ainsley.

You Spin Me Round

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you something I had made for Zutter that is completely different.  Yes, there are papers involved, and of course, my trusty o-Wires.  But this....

This was something totally different.  A teacup mobile.
I cut the teacup using my Cricut and the Tags, Bags Boxes and More 2 cartridge (6 inches).  I first cut the chipboard and then cut the patterned paper (Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee) and assembled.
I squished some 1 inch pink o-wires with my Bind it all, then stretched them out.
And attached lots of fun goodies I had lying on my desk to my stretched wires.
This would be a great project for those o-Wires that get messed up sometimes.  hee hee

Super fun to make and of course Ainsley has already claimed it as hers.  lol

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great weekend.

Bind a Birthday - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone, today I wanted to share with you more photos from Ainsley's birthday party.

This year for her party we decided as a craft to make mini books.  I cut up lots of my scrap papers and allowed the girls to use my Bind-it-All and some o-wires to create all by themselves.  They were all so proud of their creations.

The girls had a great time and of course I had to take photos.  And you know I couldn't resist using them to create this page based on a Creative Scrappers sketch and papers from Pink Paislee's collection, Spring Jubilee.
Of course, I used fussy cutting for embellishment along with a few chipboard stickers, a shipping tag and a bit of lace from the Your Memories Here store.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you are having a great one.

Hugs.

Heading Out?

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a little mini album and suitcase I made for my upcoming trip to Hawaii.

I used some gorgeous papers from Trinity Paper Arts and lots of fun flowers and trims from the Hydrangea Hippo etsy store.  I really love this fun little die from Sizzix.
And I of course had to embellish the Zutter Bind-it-All o-Wires for the mini book.

I plan on using this little gem for fun Instagram photos I will be taking.

OK, well.....

Thursday- A Little Peek

Hi everyone!  Goodness things are still crazy here...planning for another championship swim meet, Phil's birthday is today (happy birthday, honey) and trying to get caught up on everything else around here.  I wanted to sneak in and share that i have a blog post up today at Hydrangea Hippo, a super cute/fun group of projects using a kit from Jennifer's store.  The projects include this layout of my dh learning to surf.

The colors in this kit are fabulous and I really love all the fun buttons and baubles this kit came with (seriously....check out the post at Hydrangea Hippo).  I used my Bind-it-All to crate a little mini album for my page to showcase a few other photos.

Anyway....back to work.

My Girl Mini-Hydrangea Hippo

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to  share with you the insides of the My Girl mini I made using the kit from theHydrangea Hippo etsy store.  I love the Zutter Cover-All that was included in this kit.  So much fun to decorate.
This kit is packed full of so many wonderful little extras I was able to embellish each page with lots of goodies.  I had originally planed on giving this mini to my sister for Lili, but Ainsley seems to have disappeared with it.  lol
I hope you have as much fun with this kit as I did.

Feeling Beachy? Zutter and Clearsnap

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share something a little different for me, a fun mixed media wall hanging I made using my Zutter Bind-it-All, o-WiresCanvas Artboard and lots of fun goodies from ClearSnap.

I love the texture and weight of the canvas art board.  It is the perfect weight for heavier items like these small shells.  I began these canvases by spritizing with a mixture of different colors of Smooch Spritz, allowing the colors to bleed into one another.  I then added a bit of gesso and finally a super cute embossed sun.  Did you know that Clearsnap makes scented embossing powders under the Color Box line?  This yellow smells like lemons.  So super fun on a project, I really want to make a card using it.
The Zutter canvas readily accepted the different mediums including inks, gesso, spray ink, stamps and embossing and was a super fun weight to work with.
And the antique brass o-wires complimented my project perfectly.

I had a great time creating this wall hanging and I know you would have fun playing with the art board as well.

 Hugs.

And the video.  Please go gentle, this is my first one.

Anyway...just a quick mini I made using my Zutter Bind-it-All,some scraps from Pink Paislee and coffee sleeves.

Hope you like it.

And...in honor of my first video, leave me a comment and I will pick a winner for a fun prize pack.

Busy Blogging

Hi everyone!  Sorry I am a bit late today, but I have been crazy busy....doing what?  blogging everywhere but here!  lol

You can see a recent mini book made with coffee sleeves over on the Bind-it-All blog.  And a distress stain tutorial over at Ideas for Scrapbookers.

So, What do I have for you, here?  How about a project I did a few weeks ago for Bind-it-All, featuring the Display-it-All and of course, bound with my Bind-it-All and o-Wires.
I have had this fun recipe album from Melissa Frances in my stash for a while, just waiting to be embellished and filled.
Cooking at home daily has definitely created some "go-to" recipes and I decided this would be the perfect place to store them so I don't have to keep digging them out.
And the use of the Display it All keeps the recipes up off the counter top.  Which can get quite messy, especially when the children or dh cook.
And you know I had to shabby the stand up, adding crackled paint and lots of lovely goodies from my stash, many from the Hydrangea Hippo etsy store.  (she has got some of the most yummy trims).

Well, gotta get a few things done for swim team today.

Hugs.

Fun Day

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day today.  Me....I have been cleaning.  After our freak rainstorm the other day, I needed to get out in the yard, uncover the furniture and clean up the mess left behind.  I doubt I will be scrapping photos of that in this cute little mini album I made with my leftover October Afternoon supplies and Scraptastic kit.
Lately I have had so many extras left over from my kits that I just haven't known what to do with.  So, I decided to start creating some little mini books with my Bind-it-All.  Just for fun.  I love that I can use all different sizes of papers in my books by just varying where the o wires go.
Well, Back to work.

Hugs.

Rainy Monday

Hi everyone!  Sorry I am a little late but I spent a good chunk of my morning covering my patio furniture since it looks like it is going to rain.  Not something I was really prepared for since it is June and rain this time of year is quite unusual in Northern California.

Speaking of Northern California, along with our weather, this part of the country is also known for producing some great wines.  Phil and I occasionally get the opportunity to try wines (I think the nearest winery is only 7 miles, and one of our favorites is just 15). But keeping them straight; remembering which wines we have had and would like to buy, and which we are not interested in purchasing can be difficult.  I decided to create a small wine journal to save our tasting notes and wine labels.
I used my Bind-it-All with the 7.5 x 5 acrylic covers with some older Webster's Pages papers to create this little journal.  I love the acrylic covers.  Not only are they super light weight, but I enjoy playing with the translucent properties.  And, being that I kept most of the goodies on the inside, I can slip this into my purse if we are going out for the evening.
I added a little pocket to hold labels I made to write tasting notes.
And here....a completed page.  Yep, it was a good one.  hee hee
OK, this isn't totally flat...but other than this little flower????
And the lovely trims I tied to the o-wires???

Since I have made this album I have collected a few more labels.  I just need to figure out a better way of getting them off the bottle.  Any ideas?

Hugs.

Graduation Advice - the Sampler and Zutter

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a little mini album I made using my April kit from the Sampler and my Zutter Bind-it-All.  One of my son's best friends is graduating next month so I made this little mini album for him.  It is full of advice that is most often attributed to Bill Gates.  (I found the list here)

I love the neutral colors in this kit and the mix of alphabets in the kit made for great title work.
Oh, and the gorgeous fabric tape.....
 and brads....
I used lots of fussy cutting to embellish my pages.  I really love how I can make anything into a mini album with the help of my Bind-it-All.
Don't forget, yesterday we posted the new sketch and card challenges on the Sampler blog.  You don't want to miss your chance to win some fabulous prizes.  Be sure and check it out.

And, before I go....How about another sneak at the June kit from the Sampler...
I know I can't wait for mine.

And check out my project over on the Bind-it-All blog.  A fun little wine journal.

Hugs.

A Gift to Give - The Sampler & Bind it All

Hi everyone.  I wanted to pop in really quick and say "hi" and share a quick project I made using my Two Scoops from the Sampler and my Bind it All.

The colors and patterns in the May kit are super cute.  My favorite though has to be the Be Amazing paper from My Minds Eye.  The hexagons are just so fun to play with.
The kit came with a cute little gift bag that was just begging for embellishment.  Hexagons, glitter paper and my Bind it All to the rescue.
After folding the top of the bag, I punched with my Bind it All allowing me the holes I needed to thread my ribbon.

So quick and so easy.

Hope you have a great weekend.  Back to looking for paint colors.

Hugs.
