Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you this little mixed media book box. This time of year my Michaels has started to clear out the organizational tools and these little boxes were on sale...woo hoo! As lovely as the cover was, you know I couldn't resist changing it up.
With a base layer of Prima Zephyr papers, lots of gorgeous mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang, gesso, and of course bunches of beautiful Prima Flowers I came up with this. Oh, and don't you just love those ribbon roses? those are KaiserCraft. Many of these goodies can be found in the Your Memories Here store.
This little box is perfect for tucking away secret treasures and notes. I can't wait to fill it. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs.

Hi everyone! Sorry I am a bit late, feeling a bit under the weather, a bit of a cold or something...and with the weather we are having today...
Well, anyway, today I wanted to share with you a set of cards I made using the February kit from the Sampler. Love the colors in this kit and some of the embellishments were just too cute.

Fabulous - The Sampler
Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. We had a great weekend here. Today I want to share with you a project I made with the February kit from the Sampler. Don't know if you have heard, but the Sampler is changing its direction next month and going to project based kits. So, February is the last I will be working with them. Not to worry though, I have some other great things in the works.
Love when I have Brighton around. After all these months, I still miss him so much. He is such a sweet heart and always happy to pop into my selfies.
Sorry about the terrible photo....The February kit came packed with tons of cute embellishments, and coupled with a few foam squares.....
It is going to be a busy day around here. Have a great week!
Hugs.

Something a Little Different - Knitting
Hi everyone! Today I have something a little different to share with you. Believe it or now, I actually do other things besides paper crafting and swim meets. lol.....I knit! Ok, I don't have much time to knit, but I do know how.
A friend of mines daughter is having her baby shower in a bit and I thought it would be nice to offer her a lovely handmade gift. So, I whipped up this simple baby blanket...and yes, she knows it is a boy, so blue is perfect. lol
Just a simple garter stitch with a border of stockinette. Hope she likes it.
Do you do other crafts?
Hugs.

Time - Mixed Media Canvas
Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a mixed media canvas I made using Multi-Purpose cloth from Roc-lon Fabrics. This fabric was so easy to work with. It has a nice weight and doesn't fray. Well, enough about the fabric...
I cut the fabric into an orchid shape, covered it in gesso and then went to work. A few random letters...some beautiful Prima Metals , washi tape, chipboard, and letters, and then another layer of gesso to blend everything. Gesso is definitely my friend when creating Mixed Media pieces.
Then the fun begins with different shades of mist from Lindsy's Stamp Gang. Bits of Shabby Turbine Teal, Cape Cod Coral and Salt Water Taffy were my interpretation for the February color challenge on the Lindsy's Stamp Gang blog.
More embellishments, clock faces and hands from Prima as well as a few Prima page pebbles...and then more gesso. lol
Oh, and I found this old ghost clock in my stash from Heidi Swapp. And you know I had to add a few bits of Prima bling. hee hee and a few blooms from my Hydrangea Hippo stash.
I always think...I would be so much better at...well, pretty much everything..if I only had more time. So, this is a reminder for me to make time for the things I love. I haven't figured out what I am going to do with it yet...maybe turn it into a pillow, or frame it?
Well, thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs.

We Love Brunch
Hi everyone! I hope all of you in the US had a great holiday weekend. Me? I spent all three days at a swim meet with Mackenzie. Not so bad as the meet was held at Brighton's university so I got to spend some time with him (amazing what offering to feed him will do. lol)
Anyway, today I want to share with you a project I made using sketch 112 from Sketch Savvy
I used some Pan Pastels on the background a some older Basic Grey chipboard alphas that I painted with some Twinkling H2Os as well as bits of stitching. The children are just so cute together. Wish we had more time as a family. Love my babies.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Valentine's Day Candle
Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you are enjoying this lovely Friday. I have two things to share with you today. The first thing I will share Prima Giveaway. And that is....
a Rafflecopter giveaway
The second thing I wanted to share was this quick tea light holder I made with a glass jar from Darice that I found at Joanns, some Lindsy's Gang Magicals and Mod Podge. Oh...and a few odds and ends. lol
This was so quick and easy to do. To begin I placed a heart sticker on the glass jar, making sure it was firmly adhered. Next, I mixed a bit of Peony Scarlett Red Magicals with some Mod Podge. (You can see a tutorial of a similar technique on the Lindy's Stamp Gang You Tube here.)
And voila...
I embellished the little jar with some lace that I dyed using Shabby Tahitian Teal Mist and a few flowers and stick pins. Such a quick and easy project. I am entering this in the "for the love of..." challenge at Amazing Mold Putty. Love me some flowers and lace. And Love....
Happy Valentine's Day

Flipping Out with Sizzix
Hi everyone! today I have a special card to share with you. Back at CHA I attended a Blogger event with FaveCrafts and many different manufacturers...one of which was Sizzix. Well, Sizzix was kind enough to include this gorgeous Flip-Its die in our swag bag. you know I couldn't wait to play.
This is the Triple Fancy Frame Flip-its Set. So way fun to use. There are dies for each of the pieces so no trying to piece together and figure out which dies you need. I chose to embellish this card with some older embellishments and some Glitz Designs Cashmere Dame papers from Your Memories Here.
