Laugh - The Sampler

Hey everyone!  today I want to share with you a project I made using the February kit from the Sampler.  This kit is already sold out, but I wanted to be sure and share with you anyway.

Sorry about the funky photos...we have been having some crazy weather and the lighting is just weird.  I think I really need to break out the light box.  It is that time.

I found a fun sketch over at Pagedrafts  and thought I would give it a go.

Thanks for stopping by.

January Scrapbooking with the Sampler

Hey everyone!  Today I want to share with you the projects I made using the January kit from the Sampler.  It isn't too late to grab this gorgeous kit (and you might want to as the January and February kits are perfect together...hint hint).  Anyway.....

pan pastel, ribbon, layout, 12x12, scrapbook, kit club, the sampler
Filled with gorgeous papers and ribbons this kit  is just perfect for all your crafting needs
kit club, ribbon, pan pastel, scrapbook, 12x12
With the addition of some resist die cuts from and earlier kit and a few Pan Pastels, this layout of Ainsley at the Space Needle came together so quickly.  You wouldn't believe what it took for us to get her up the elevator, but once up there.....
scrapbook, multi photo, pikes market, 12x12, ribbon, rose,
And of course, she loved Pike's Market.  Too bad it was so crowded the day we went.  sigh....
ribbon rose, pikes market, scrapbook, 12x12, multi photo
Oh goodness....love some ribbon rose trims.  And it was nice to have a multi photo layout.  I find myself making more multi photo scrapbook pages these days.  hee hee

Finally, Mackenzie goofing for the camera.  lol  She loves her hats. And look at all the different faces in this multi photo scrapbook layout.
selfie, multi photo, luminarte, 12x12, scrapbook, sampler, kit club
I used a bit of Luminarte silks and Twinkling H20s for this one and embossed the Core'dinations  cardstock for added dimension

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to check out this kit in the new Sampler store.

Hello There - Optimist

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you another project I made using the Optimist Collection from Prima.  You know, chalkboard seems to be all the rage right now and so you know Prima was right on it with this collection.  Which, of course, Kristina at Your Memories Here had to have!  lol

I really love the chalkboard look with the bright colors.  Just so fun to play with.

Be sure to check out all the great goodies in the Your Memories Here store.

Playday - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you another project from the December kit from the Sampler.  As my niece has gotten a little older she is much more outgoing and willing to come over and play.  One winter morning she decided to come play and we went out in the yard to have a tea party (gotta love California winters...lol)  Anyway, I was able to snap a few photos while she was setting the table.

I really think the December kit has got to be one of my favorites evah!  lol

Family Traditions - The Sampler

Hi Guys!

Look at me, trying to meet my New Years Resolution by actually not neglecting my blog.  lol

Today I wanted to share with you a project I made with the December kit from the Sampler.  Right now if you want a kit the best way is to email Holly directly or find us on Facebook.

I decided to do something a little different with this layout....a two pager with  4x6 photos.  I know, wow!  lol  But I have fallen in love with my little portable printer again and have found it so much easier, no more cutting photos.  lol

Anyway...

Love this fun kit.  The lovely chipboards, fun kraft sticker stars and the deer paper.  ***swoon***  I also added a bit of baker's twine (the twinery) and washi from my stash.

Be sure and check back for more stuff I made with this gorgeous kit!  You are not going to believe how many projects I made.  hee hee

Tower Bridge

Totally slacking yet again, nothing much getting posted here on my blog.  I have been just crazy busy.  I know...excuses, excuses.  lol

I have been busy creating.  But I have also decided to try and step up my designer status.  I recently became a Designer Member of CHA.  I had business cards made, registered for winter CHA, and have been working hard to make sure all my other commitments are met.  That, and I am trying to diet and exercise...all the weight I lost a couple of years ago is starting to creep back on.  sigh

Anyway, as usual, I have a million excuses.  I promise I am creating and now that things are a bit more under control I am hoping to post here more.

Today I want to share with you a project I made a few weeks ago, one of the ones that is on my business card....

Some My Minds Eye papers that have been sitting in my stash for like evah!  lol  A few buttons as well.  I find I don't use many buttons and I have a ton of them, so I need to start.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Love the Sampler

Hi everyone!  I know I have been a total slacker when it comes to blogging these days.  So sorry about that.  I am simply amazed at how some of you are so good at blogging regularly.

Today I wanted to share with you a few projects I made using the October kit from The Sampler.

Doing a lot more mixed media these days.  Seems I have so many inks, sprays, paints, different mediums...seems a shame not to use them.

Be sure to check out all the wonderful projects from this kit on our facebook page.  Love the Sampler

It is possible - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share another project I made using the gorgeous Wishful Thinking papers from Prima Marketing available now at Your Memories Here.

I did a little mixed media on this page adding in a bit of multi-medium for texture before layering on my mists, papers, and photos.
And of course, finished everything off with some gorgeous blooms from my Prima flower grab bag.

Loving this collection designed by Leeza Gibbons.  Be sure to check out this collection as well as all the other goodies available from Your Memories Here.

What a Banana - The Sampler

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you a project I made using the fabulous Royal Birthday Wishes  August kit from the Sampler.
Loving the fun colors and cute stickers in this month's kit.
The bold, graphic designs are so fun.
And went so well with Brighton dancing in his banana costume.  For our cabana champs swim meet we always have a spirit relay and this year our graduates had decided to dress as their school mascots to participate.  Of course, with Brighton going off to the University of California Santa Cruz, being a banana slug....a banana suit was just perfect.  lol

Be sure and grab your kit before they are all gone.

Beach Life - Webster's Pages

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a layout I made featuring Brighton.  It is so hard to find papers that suit him, but these gorgeous papers from Webster's Pages were just perfect.  Of course, it doesn't hurt that they were photos from the beach.

What a gorgeous day at the beach.  I am trying to work through my stash of papers and these were just calling my name
Mixed with fun Prima wood pieces, fun buttons from Hydrangea Hippo and a Pink Paislee wood font, the papers were manned up.  lol
And I love, love, love the super fun zipper (also from Prima) and the larger bird from Maya Road.
This fall Brighton will be living just a couple of miles from the beach so I imagine he will be spending quite a bit of time there.

Thanks for dropping by.

Beach Board Walk - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you another project I made using the August kit, Royal Birthday Wishes from the Sampler.  I took the children and a few of their friends to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk for the day.  What a great time.  We spent a good part of the day playing on the beach and then hit the rides in the evening.  Of course, we had to finish off the day with icecream.  hee hee

I added a few items from a previous month's kit that I had lying about and colored my butterflies with some permanent markers to make them match my page.

Don't forget to check out the color challenge here at the sampler.  There is still time to play.

Sun Day

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share a layout of the girls playing on the beach.  So many times, here in Northern California we are rewarded with cold, foggy beach days.  This year however the days we have gone have been incredible, warm and full of sunshine.

It seems lately that most of my time is spent doing DT work, it is kinda nice to make a project just for me.  And, it is nice to work through some of my stash.  This time some older Echo Park papers and stickers as well as some super cute Studio Calico canvas pieces I bought forever ago.
Of course, I couldn't resist adding in a little flower from Hydrangea Hippo.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Smile - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a project I made with the November kit from the Sampler.  It isn't up in the store quite yet...but it will be...and it is FABULOUS!  Every month these kits get better and better. I know...I know...I keep saying this, but it is true!  Promise.

Anyway, as you may recall, I took the children to a small local farm a couple of weeks ago to take a few photos.  Gotta love fall in California!  It was hot.  So, for you today...a few photos of Ainsley playing around.

(Colors are a little washed out here...sorry)
I really love the colors and motifs in this kit.  The fun stickers, bits of jewels and little journaling bits, sigh.  So much fun.  How cute are the little butterfly stickers.  hee hee
Well, keep your eye out later today for photos of the full release...you won't be disappointed   And be sure to check out our card and sketch challenges.  No need to purchase a kit...and you could win some fabulous prizes.

Tuesday - Two Page

Hi everyone!  Well, our first day of school went really well, as well as can be expected anyway.  I really need to get a new schedule together on getting stuff done around here.  I have been trying to get the children to help out a bit more around the house, but with school starting....

Anyway....I wanted to share with you a project I made this weekend for the Authentique color challenge using a sketch from Susan Stringfellow.  These are photos from Phil and Brighton's 50 mile Yosemite hike.  They had a great time and took some amazing photos.  I left the journaling blank so that Phil and Brighton can tell their own story.
I used a roller stamp with some ink and a white Studio Calico mist to texturize the cardstock.
I love this Authentique collection, Genuine.  The colors are just perfect for my boys and have just enough pretty to keep me happy.
Well, time to get back to work.

Hugs.

Back at It

It is the first week that we are back at school.  We officially started last week...but this week is the first we really hit the books.  Well, so far so good.  Unfortunately with all the goings on; getting Brighton registered at the local Junior College and online courses, convincing Ainsley that she really might need to learn something this year, helping Mackenzie realize there is more to her education than making videos, and just the general getting back to a routine....I haven't had a lot of time to scrap.

I did manage to get this done.

A fun set of photos of the girls jumping on the beach.  I don't just love it, but it is done and the photos were way too fun to just leave lying around.  And with a box of Prima arriving shortly, a good chance to use up quite a few older flowers.  hee hee

Don't forget about the super fun Sassy Lil' Sketches Blog Hop, going on right now.  You can find all the details at Sassy Lil Sketches.  There are some great prizes from our generous sponsors...

Xyron - Xyron 900 Creative Station
Thoughts 2 Paper - Zutter Distresser
Scrappy Jo - Gift Certificate
Crop Stop - Gift Certificate
Apron Strings - July kit
Crop Chocolate - Account Credit

And, one lucky follower of my blog will win a prize package as well.  If you are not already a follower, it isn't too late, just click the little button in the side bar.

Oh, I have some great tutorials coming up soon at Ideas for Scrapbookers.  If you have something you would love to learn, a technique you would like to see demonstrated, let me know.  If it isn't something I can do, I know one of the incredibly talented designers there can help.

For now, I am off to the pool.  Hope you are having a fabulous week.

Hugs.
