More with Bloom Girls Mixed Media

Hey everyone!  Happy Weekend!  I hope yours is great.

Today I just wanted to pop in and share this mixed media, reverse canvas I made using one of Jamie Doughtery's Bloom Girl stamps from Prima...as well as lots of other gorgeous prima goodies and some Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabios and Magicals.

You can see the variety of flowers Prima has created as well as a few resin pieces, a clock and clock hands  swoon....And that stencil?  It is from ClearScraps (love)

The canvas was misted with Lindy's Flat Fabios and then things were glued at different heights using plenty of foam dots...the stamp was colored with Faber Castell Aquarelles.

Thanks for stopping by.

Exploding Box Card

Happy Friday!  Woo hoo, we made it!!!!  Hard to believe, but this is our official start of summer, our cabana swim team time trials are tomorrow and it is all swim all the time from here on out.  lol

Today I wanted to share with you a card Ainsley and I made for her friend's birthday.  If you google exploding card box you can find all the instructions, videos, sizes, templates you will ever need.  This was not my idea, I have just seen them around so much I had to try my hand.

Ainsley's friend's favorite colors were purple and teal...and I just happened to have some old, I mean ancient, Uspy Daisy papers in the stash that were just perfect.  I added to that some Little B 3D stickers and some borders from Martha Stewart.  All in all this was a surprisingly easy project to create.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Roses Scrapbooking - Your Memories Here

Hey everyone!  Hope your day is off to a great start.  Things here are as busy as usual...but I did want to drop by and share this layout I made using some of the gorgeous Prima Optimist collection available at Your Memories Here.

I have these two beautiful rose trees next to my driveway and the first bloom every year is just gorgeous.  I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.
I know, it is a lot of pink and roses...but I just love it!  The gorgeous Optimist flowers that are available for this collection are just to die for.  And I love the little leaves.

Thanks for stopping by.

Garden Borders - Clear Scraps

Hi Everyone and happy Monday.  Today I want to share with you a fun project I made using the Garden Border acrylic embellishment to emboss my tag.

To emboss the tag I used my Sizzix Machine.  For the sandwich you will being with the multi-purpose platform, your acrylic cutting plate, the acrylic border or other piece, and your tag.

On top of the tag place the silicone rubber pad and finally your impressions pad.  Run this through the machine.

Here you can see the tags once they went through the machine.  Lovely, aren't they?
I then used the border as a mask.  A few pieces of washi tape hold the border in place while I add random bits of my favorite mists.
Finally, lots of lovely embellishment to complete the look.
I love the texture of the tag as well as the masked section.  Best thing is, I still have the border so I can do it again and again...or use the border on a scrapbook page.

Mixed Media Bloom Girl

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you are ready for the weekend, I know I am!

Today I want to share with you a piece I made over National Scrapbooking Weekend with Jamie Dougherty.  It is hard to believe, but somehow she has managed to teach me to draw a face.  lol

Making Bloom Girls is really fun and Jamie makes it so easy by providing you with a template.  Of course you know I had to draw my own...because now I have it in my head that I can.  lol
You know what else?  Jamie told us we could use some of her flowers.  lol...and you know how I get with flowers.  After a while I did stop using hers and started filling in with my own stash.  roflmao
Not quite sure what is going on behind her nose.   We layered papers back there, so I think it is from that.  sigh...Oh well, I still think she is lovely.

Lots of gorgeous embellishments from Prima Marketing, and a fun die cut made from cork paper and a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.

I hope you like it.

Sisters Scrapbooking

Happy Monday!  I hope you are off to a great start this week.  It is set to be a hot one here.  Sigh

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you a quick layout I made using some older Echo Park papers.  I really am determined to cut through some of that stash.  lol

Another photo of my girls together.  It really makes my heart sing, and I am ever so grateful for the love my children have for one another.  They honestly are each others best friends and enjoy spending time together.  Keeping it simple and just trying to get things done.  A bit of Rock Candy Distress Paint on the card stock for texture and some lightly distressed papers.  I really wanted to highlight the photo.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a scrapbook page featuring my two girls.  These two have such a great, close, relationship.  I am so blessed.

I've been working really hard to get through some of my older papers and supplies.  You may even recognize the older KI die cut paper.  I have stacks of this stuff.  lol

Thanks for dropping by today and taking a look.

Bloom Girls Mixed Media Rocks

Hi everyone!  Ugh, I think I give up on blogging.  lol  I just can't seem to get ahead.  So many projects made, I just really need to sit down and kick out some blogs so they get posted on time.  sigh

I had a great, creative National Scrapbook Weekend.  I was able to spend it with some amazing friends, shout out to Chris, Jamie and Debbie!  Love them!   Didn't get a ton done....gone are the days when I could kick out 20+ layouts in a weekend.  But had such a great time laughing and hanging out.

I wanted to share this Bloom girl I made for my friend Heather!  Love her as well.

Sometimes I just create with no idea where I am going.  For this lovely I used a few techniques from Jamie Dougherty's fabulous Bloom Girls series mixed with techniques from Christy Tomlinson's She Art.
I really didn't know what I was going to do with her until I read the quote on the super fun Dylusions stamps. As soon as I read that stamp I knew I was making this for Heather.  Good thing it wasn't pink.  lol

Anyway, thanks for stopping by.  And if you are looking for some fun, online courses check out both Jamie and Christi's offerings.  You really can't go wrong.

Prima Songbird Cards

Happy Friday everyone!  Sorry a bit late today...trying to get packed for a crop this weekend that I didn't decide I was going to till Wednesday...and it is for three days!  Eek!!!  Couple that with the start of cabana swim season and I have been one busy lady.

Just wanted to make a quick post to show you these Cards I made.  Cari Fennel or Prima Marketing made a super cute kit using the Songbird collection (which I love) to create some tags.  Which you know I had to adapt to make cards.  lol

I love tags, don't get me wrong...I am just never quite sure what do do with them...now Christmas cards?  hee hee

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!  It is National Scrapbook Day after all.

Hugs.
