Holiday House Mini Album

Hey everyone!  I wanted to pop by today and share with you this little holiday house mini album I made using the fun House Mini Album from Clear Scraps.

I chose the House Album because I thought it would make a perfect winter theme.  With bits of "snow" made from ric rac and a holiday color palette, Pink Paislee papers,  this mini came together in no time.

I am not nearly organized enough for a December Daily, but with this sweet little mini all that I need to do is add a few photos to document my month.  Thanks for stopping by.

J- Wall Decor

Good Morning everyone!  Hooray for Friday!!!!  It has been quite a week here, full of the usual insanity I affectionately refer to as my life.  I did however find time to create another little wall decor piece for my friend Jordan.

Lovely Pink Paislee, Spring Jubilee papers with tons of gorgeous Prima blooms, this project came together in no time.

Now to find a box to put this lovely, and a few other goodies, in.

Handmade Valentine - Pink Paislee and Sizzix

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a new project I made using some of the gorgeous HopeChest Pink Paislee papers and a beautiful Sizzix die from the Your Memories Here store.

This sweet little set is just perfect for Valentine's Day.  I am going to fill the little cup with some yummy chocolates.

The card was made with the Sizzix rosette die, lots of Stickles, and one of the Hope Chest Paper Goods Tags.

The teacup was also made using a die from Sizzix, Hope Chest papers, stickles and some beautiful Prima flowers.

Not sure which of my lovelies will be receiving this little set for Valentine's Day, but I am sure they will love it.

The View

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a project made with lots of yummy Pink Paislee and Prima Goodies.

Hope Chest and Mistables from Pink Paislee come together with lots of beautiful Prima flowers from my Your Memories Here flower grab bag.

Highlighted with some of my favorite Distress Inks I created this layout (which I promise is straight in real life) to showcase this photo from the top of the Arc de Trimophe in Paris.  I am even using some older items from my stash (note the chipboard pieces from forever ago.  lol)

Celebrate - Your Memories Here Tutorial

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a shabby chic layout I made using the gorgeous Hope Chest papers from Pink Paislee.

But before I share the layout itself, how about a quick video on creating a crackled wood background for your projects?

Super easy and fun.  With the wood background, a bit of mist and some gorgeous flowers from my Prima grab bag I created this....

Ainsley and a couple of friends at her birthday party.  I added a few lace doilies as well as some lace to complete the look.

Beach Life - Webster's Pages

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a layout I made featuring Brighton.  It is so hard to find papers that suit him, but these gorgeous papers from Webster's Pages were just perfect.  Of course, it doesn't hurt that they were photos from the beach.

What a gorgeous day at the beach.  I am trying to work through my stash of papers and these were just calling my name

Mixed with fun Prima wood pieces, fun buttons from Hydrangea Hippo and a Pink Paislee wood font, the papers were manned up.  lol

And I love, love, love the super fun zipper (also from Prima) and the larger bird from Maya Road.
This fall Brighton will be living just a couple of miles from the beach so I imagine he will be spending quite a bit of time there.

Vintage Mint - Hydrangea Hippo

Hi everyone, today I want to share with you the inside pages of the mini album I shared a few weeks ago.  You can see that post here where I go step by step through the process of building the album.  But, as promised I am back today to share some of the inside pages.

The Vintage Mint Creativity kit, is just full of so many beautiful items.  The gorgeous Pink Paislee papers, beautiful flowers, trims, buttons and doo dads….swoon.  I reallly do so love this book

 I also printed and cut a number of butterflies from the internet.

 

Super fun vinyl pieces mix beautifully with the gorgeous feathers and buttons….

and of course the kit is full of some of the most gorgeous trims, tags and baubles.

Cupcake wrappers make the perfect backdrop for my rosette flowers, and you know I couldn’t resist adding in a few banners.

I love the little sparklers that Jennifer has added to this kit…they add just a bit of shine and add so much interest in contrast.

 Be sure and grab your Vintage Mint kit today.  Unfortunately, at this time, Jennifer has decided to close down her design team.   I have loved working with Jennifer and look forward to doing so again.

Vintage Mint Kit - Hydrangea Hippo

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a mini album I made using the gorgeous Vintage Mint kit from Hydrangea Hippo featuring the Hope Chest collection from Pink Paislee.

I have a lot of chipboard sheets lying around and thought it would be fun to create my own mini album.  I started with two sheets of 6×8 inch chipboard.

I scored each at two inches along the long side.

And then cut the center out of one of the sheets (approximately 4×4).

I glued the two inch pieces together to create the binding of my album.

Then I poked holes with roughly a 1/2 inch spacing, one inch from the top and the bottom.

and painted the chipboard.

I then created the registers by folding a two pieces of 6×12 patterned paper in half, one inside the other, and poked a hole one inch from the top and bottom in the center fold.

I created four of these registers.  I then ran baker’s twine , from the Hydrangea Hippo Etsy shop, from the back of the chipboard, through the registers and back through the chipboard.  I then tied the twine tightly.

Once I completed all four registers I covered the chipboard with patterned paper and embellished it heavily.

This kit is full of so many gorgeous goodies; flowers, vinyl pieces, and the most beautiful feathers, not to mention the incredible trims.  Finally I  added a few butterflies that I printed and cut from the Internet.

 I also added a few chipboard pieces from Prima's Craftsman Collection to this layout of my children getting ready for fireworks on the fourth.

Tiny Dancers - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a project I made with the beautiful Hope Chest collection from Pink Paislee.

I love the beautiful, soft colors of this collection and couldn't resist mixing it with a few gorgeous Prima flowers as well as one of the burlap flowers from the Cottage Farms collection.

 The glittered burplap butterflies in this collection are just gorgeous

And of course, everything deserved a quick swipe of Distress Ink to add interest and definition.

Oh the Places - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great week.  I am recovering from our 10 days of house guests and trying to get back in the swing of things.

Today I wanted to share with you a project I made using the Spring Jubilee Collection from Pink Paislee.  The colors in this kit are just gorgeous and I paired them with some fun flowers from Prima that I picked up in a grab bag from Your Memories Here.

 Lots of fussy cutting and a bit of gesso on my backround paper really brought my page to life.

I used a Prima mask to add additional texture as well as lots of different Prima lace.

Love Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a new project I made using the gorgeous Declarations Collection from Pink Paislee.  When I first purchased this kit I thought I would use it for our Fourth of July photos.  Unfortunately, the boys were out of town and the girls and I went to a BBQ in the afternoon and then just hung low that night.  Not much in the way of patriotic photos.

Luckily, this collection is good for so much more!  This time, a photo of my love, Phil.  hee hee  Hard to believe we have been together for 22 years now.  We will actually celebrate our 20 wedding anniversary next year!

Of course there was lots of distressing with my Prima Distress Tool.  I changed the center of my flower using some Fired Brick Distress Stain and used a bit of doily I picked up from HSN.  A few Prima letters, a Paper Trey Ink Banner die and a bit of ball trim and my project was complete.

I am really happy with the way it turned out.  And so happy that my beloved paper is not going to waste because I didn't have any Patriotic photos.
