Fall Leafy Wreath

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you a fun fall project using a Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheet and a mirror piece from a from the Oval Fancy Mirror Frame and one of my favorite fall Sizzix Dies, the Tim Holtz Layered Leaf.

Supplies Needed:

• Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheet
• Clear Scraps Mirror
• Sizzix Tim Holtz Layered Leaf
• Big Shot Machine
• Embroidery Hoop
• Ribbon
• StazOn Inks in Fall Colors
• IRResistables Bronze
• Assorted Flowers
• Vinyl Words

Step 1:  Cut Clear Craft Sheet in thirds and die cut leaves.  I found by doing so I was able to create 9 leaves with just one sheet of Clear Acrylic.  The Clear Craft Sheet is simple to cut with a pair of scissors and it cuts even easier with the Sizzix die cut machine and steel rule dies.

Step 3:  After cutting, simply emboss with the coordinating Texture Fade.  The Texture Fade comes with the die, so a one stop shop.  Did you know that you can emboss your acrylic?  How cool is that?

Step 4:  Remove plastic covering from Clear Craft Sheet.  These leaves still have the sheets, but how cool do they look?

Step 5:  Ink leaves with Stazon and then spray backside with IrResistable spray in bronze.  The bronze irResistable spray really helps the leaves stand out while still highlighting the translucense of the acrylic.

Step 6:  Ink mirror piece in the same colors as leaves and attach words (I chose vinyl which I cut with my Cricut, but you could use a sticker, or leave this piece off all together)

Step 7:  Glue all pieces to embroidery hoop.  How simple is that?  I used a bit of Beacon Zip Dry.

Welcome Fall with a Little Bling

Hey everyone!  Happy Friday.  Hope you are having a great day.  I have been mad decorating for the fall, not so many spooky things now that my son is gone, really enjoying a bit more of a relaxed holiday.  lol

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you a quick and easy project I created with a pumpkin I found at Michaels, some scraps from a Rhinestone Sticker sheet from the Buckle Boutique (which is on sale now) and my Cricut.

So, I found this cute little pumpkin on sale at Michaels.  It already had some pretties on it, but you can never have too many beautiful things so...

I cut a few flourishes from the Cheetah print rhiniestone sheet (I just love the fall colors in it...and a little animal print is always good for the soul.  hee hee) with my Sizzix.  Be sure and use your cutting pad, die, rhinestone sheet and second cutting pad in that order for best results.

The Buckle Boutique Rhinestones cut so easily with the steel rule dies from Sizzix.  It is definitely one of my favorite ways to use the Rhinestone Sticker Sheets.  The die I used is super old, but there are plenty of gorgeous Sizzix flourish dies to choose from.

Then I simply placed my flourishes on the top of my pumpkin.  So easy, right?

I finished the pumpkin decorating off with a big sunflower I had lying on my desk and a "welcome" I cut from my Cricut from vinyl.

This project was super simple and took no time at all to complete.

A Pocket Full of.....

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!  Today I wanted to share with you a project I made with one of my favorite Sizzix Dies, the Faceted Cone by Brenda Walton, some Teresa Collins papers, and some fun LED circuits from Chibitronics.

I began by die cutting the cone from my patterned paper and assembling as per the directions.  I then added my copper foil tape from the Chibitronics kit around the top of the cone to add extra interest.

I poked a couple of holes in the cone and ran the foil tape through the holes so that I could attach my battery and complete my circuit.

From there it was easy to embellish my cone.  A die cut rosette, also from Sizzix, and a few items from my stash.  Poke another hole in the bottom of the cone and add a crystal with the addition of a jump ring.

Chore Chart - Cricut

Hi everyone!  just wanted to stop by and share a few little magnets I made for my sister.  She wanted to make a chore chart for Lili and asked if I could help.  How could I say no.  With the help of my Cricut and some Core'dinations cardstock (and a few scraps of patterned papers) I was able to whip up these little magnets in no time.

As with many five, almost six year olds, Lili's favorite color is purple, thus the purple shoes, dress and backpack.  And you know I couldn't resist adding just the tiniest bit of stickles.  There are two toothbrush and two sinks...because, well, we must brush and wash at least twice a day.

I am sure Lili is doing a great job keeping up with her chores.

A Little Birdhouse - Sizzix

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great day.  Today I wanted to share with you a little house I made with a few Sizzix dies that I was sent from Sizzix after CHA.  

I made this house out the ScoreBoards XL Canister die and the Scoreboards XL Cupcake Stand.  I began by die cutting the necessary pieces from the Little Sizzles 6x13" white MatBoard.  The MatBoard gives the final project a great weight and is sturdy enough to stand up to quite a bit of abuse. You need two of the box sides and two of the stands to complete the project.  I did not use the canister top nor the banners.

After cutting the matboard I die cut the same pieces from my patterened paper.  I needed to make four of the cupcake stand pieces to cover all the sides, front and back.  I placed once cutting pad under my die, then my die, my paper and finally the additional cutting pad.  This allowed me to ensure that I was cutting exactly the pieces I needed in the colors I wanted.

I adhered the papers to the MatBoard with a strong adhesive.

To assemble my canister I began by creating the folds needed and applied a strong adhesive on the edges.

To add the stand to the canister I placed more adhesive along the top of the stand...

And simply added the canister on top.

To embellish my little house I used diecuts from the Kitchen Labels set that I embellished with a bit of glitter.

Finally I added a few flowers from my stash as well as a drawer knob that I had left from another project.

I am very pleased with this sweet little house and look forward to adding it to my collection.

Gift Bag Trio - Core'dinations

Mini Album Addiction

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you are having a great week.  Things are even more crazy here than usual as we prepare for Thanksgiving.  Brighton's coming home for a few days (you would think that since he is 45 minutes away we would see more of him), houseguests, and of course cooking a huge feast.  lol  Oh....and you know the crafting never ceases.

And on the subject of crafting...here is a cute little chunky mini board book I made back when Eileen Hull was on her papertrail.  I shared with you a few of the other projects we made...but not this one.  I don't know why, just hadn't gotten around to it I guess.  Well.....here it is.

I really love making minis...and this one was so cute.  Made with Eileen Hull's Box die and a few of her embossing folders and filled with all kinds of junk I had lying on my desk.  I learned much about mat board and embossing and my sizzix machine...well..and that I have way too many mini books with nothing in them.  lol

Vintage Kitchen - Eileen Hull Event

Hi everyone!  Sorry I am a bit late today, but things have been quite busy.  Brighton came home for the weekend, and to be honest, although I was working hard at getting assignments done, I just felt it more important to spend time with him than blog.  oppsies.  hee hee

A few weeks ago I shared with you that I went to an event at Cathe Holden's Inspired Barn to see Eileen Hull and create a few projects with her dies.  We were able to play with her new Vintage Collection, which hasn't been released yet!  How fun is that?

First I created these little boxes.  I loved the fun shapes and I planned on using them to hold all the little bits and pieces on my desk when I am done creating.  I didn't venture far from their intended use, but the little cookie box (the round one) it has a hinged top and I have lots of fun ideas in mind for it.

This little cream and sugar set was so sweet.  Everyone in the class created the same project, doodling the design and then coloring it with Eileen's inks from Clearsnap.  It was really fun and would make a super cute gift filled with tea bags, a gift card, whatever.  

Finally there was this little oven.  The front of the oven is a drawer, how cute is that...with the little clear window?  sigh.  Thinking of putting a little something in their as a gift....a bun in the oven?  hee hee

These new Vintage Kitchen dies are so fun, I really can't wait to add them to my collection.

Suitcase Box- Sizzix

Good morning everyone!  Sorry I am a bit late, I have been under the weather...nothing serious, just a little cold, but I am moving rather slowly.  That coupled with getting my house repiped this week.  Ugh

Anyway, today I want to share with you this cute little suitcase box I made with my Eileen Hull for Sizzix die. This has got to be one of my all time favorite dies.  I really love it, perfect for holding a little mini album, a gift card, small treasures.....

Cut out of mat board and then covered in some gorgeous Madeline papers from Prima and covered in some gorgeous Prima flowers and other miscellaneous laces, I just love the look of this little box.  

I haven't quite yet decided what to do with it, but I am sure I will think of something soon.

Handmade Valentine - Pink Paislee and Sizzix

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a new project I made using some of the gorgeous HopeChest Pink Paislee papers and a beautiful Sizzix die from the Your Memories Here store.

This sweet little set is just perfect for Valentine's Day.  I am going to fill the little cup with some yummy chocolates.

The card was made with the Sizzix rosette die, lots of Stickles, and one of the Hope Chest Paper Goods Tags.

The teacup was also made using a die from Sizzix, Hope Chest papers, stickles and some beautiful Prima flowers.

Not sure which of my lovelies will be receiving this little set for Valentine's Day, but I am sure they will love it.

Hey You - Flip Card

Hi everyone!  Well, it's Wednesday and this week seems to be just flying by.  Before we know it it will once again be the weekend.  woo hoo!  Well, maybe not so much woo....swim meet.  lol

Today I want to share with you a green friendship card I made using one of the Sizzix dies I purchased from Kristina at Your Memories Here.

I colored my stamped image using Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I love that these distress markers make it so easy to create a water color look on my project.

And of course I couldn't resist using a few gorgeous Prima Blooms to brighten the card and a bit of seam binding dyed with some green Glimmer Mist.  This card is just perfect for spring.

A simple sentiment with a Prima sticker completed the look.  I love the way this project came together with the mixture of Prima, Distress Markers, and Sizzix.  I think this die has to be one of my favorite dies ever.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I know I had fun making it.
