Get Into the Beat with The Buckle Boutique

Hey everyone!  Happy Friday.  Hope you have great plans for the weekend.

Today I wanted to share with you a fun way to personalize your headphones.  I have been told time and time again by my teens, that all the "cool kids" where headphones and not earbuds, so I thought maybe I would personalize some headphones with a bit of bling to make them even more cool.

This was a super quick and easy project...and my daughter's old Beats definitely have a second life.
To begin create a template for your Buckle Boutique Rhinestone Sticker Sheet.  You need to know how big to cut the rhinestones afterall.  I chose the Black Zebra Stripe because they looked so cute with the fuschia headphones.  (oh, and did I mention that pattern is currently on sale?)
If, you aren't good with scissors and a template; or if like me, you just happen to own a Sizzix circle die in the correct size.....well, cut your rhinestone sticker sheet.  Either way, scissors or Sizzix, these rhinestones are simple and easy to cut.
From here, simply peel the backing off your rhinestones and adhere.  How quick and easy is that?
Hugs.

Clear Proof

Hey everyone!  A little something different today to share with you.

About a month ago we received the ClearProof skincare system complimentary from Influenster to try for 30 days.  Mackenzie had been using another system for a while and wasn't getting the results she really wanted so we figured, what the heck....We will give it a go.

Well, the proof is in the results...

Here she is on Day 1...before starting the system.
Here we are about a week later....
You can see her face is starting to clear.

And here we are after 30 days (or so...tyring to get her to pose for photos is not easy).  lol
In this photo she has a bit of eye makeup on, but you can see how much her skin has cleared.  Overall she has been very happy with the system.  It is multi-step...and sometimes she just doesn't feel like dealing with it all (don't we all feel that way sometimes?), but she has been happy with the results. She had a bit of flakiness and dry patches, but the moisturizer took care of that with time.

So, now I ask her....do you want to go back to the other system, or stay with this one...knowing that we will have to pay for it of course...and she says ClearProof...the choice is clear.

Anyone know where I can find a MaryKay consultant?

Friends Mean the World -Clear Scraps

Hi everyone!  Hope you are preparing for a great weekend!  Ours is pretty much the usual, swim meets.....

The minute my youngest saw this beautiful acrylic piece from Clear Scraps, Ainsley claimed it for her own.   I decided to really girl it up, with just a bit of grunge (she is a teen afterall).  And since her room is done in black and white, little pops of color are always great.

After collaging the word frame with bits of tissue paper from Ranger, I used Faber Castell gelattos to add just a bit of color.  And then finished with a bit of ink.

I used the 6"Spiral Dots Mascil from Clear Scraps with both some white crackle paint as well as some bead medium to add interest and texture.  This was one of those projects I just kept building layers on.  So much fun and the clear acrylic gives it so much depth.

Finally, I embellished the whole thig with some beautiful Kaisercraft Blu Belle stickers and loads of Prima flowers and resins and of course a little bit of sparkle with some Stickles.  hee hee

I really hope she likes it in her room.

Photo Banner - Clear Scraps

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great day!  Today I wanted to share with you a project I have up over on the Clear Scraps blog....a fun photo banner.

I love these photos of the children (teens?) I took on the Fourth of July...I swear, the three of them look like they could be in an ad for a clothing store....I just love them so.

You know what else I love....banners....so I made this one to highlight the photos using the Clear Scrap Acrylic Five Piece Banner.  Of course, I only used three of the pieces here.  I embellished the banner with flowers from Darice, more of the gorgeous doilies I made using my Prima die, some older Pink Paislee chipboard flowers, Prima flower centers and trim...oh and the photos are using the Embellish by Dena Haute Girls collection papers.  The baker's twine and gingham ribbon just came from my stash...so old, not really sure who made them.  So much fun in such a little package.  lol

She's Thirteen - Scrapbooking

Hi everyone!  Happy humpday!  Things around here, now that we are back to school, are slowly returning to normal.  Goodness...whose bright idea was that swim team thing anyway...it totally consumes our summer.  lol

Anyway, since I had so much fun showing you those photos of Ainsley at 13 in the layout on Monday, I thought I would share more photos of Ainsley from the same day....and how the heck did she get to be 13 anyway?  Seems like just the other day she was 3.

Yep, that is what 13 looks like around here.  lol Oh, and of course the fake glasses.  sigh   Love, love, love the older Crate Paper papers here.  Wonder if I could still find them.  Again, thinking this is from a sketch, tho I can't remember whose?  I really need to work on that.

Thanks for stopping by,

Hugs.

Tuesdays and Teens

Hi everyone, I wanted to stop in today and share another project I made with the March kit from the Sampler.  I have been loving all the chevron patterns I have been seeing in the blogsphere and wanted to try my hand.  Let me tell you....it was not easy.
You know what was easy?  Creating beautiful flowers with the felt that was in the kit.   Just a quick trip through my big shot and done!
I accented the page with splatters of glimmer mist and the fun jewels from the kit.
There is still time to enter this month's challenges over on the Sampler blog.  And even though the full reveal hasn't happened, you can check out the April kit here.  I know you are going to love it!  The colors are just gorgeous.

Hugs.
