Celebrate - the Sampler

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day today.  Me...just trying to recuperate after our crazy swim season.  Hard to believe summer is almost over.  sigh

Today I wanted to share with you another project I made using the Summer Camp kit from the Sampler.

These are photos from Ainsley's birthday party.  We found this huge beach ball.  All the girls had a great time playing with it.  No one had ever seen a beach ball so big.
I love that this kit is packed with so many fun embellishments, washi tape, ribbons, buttons and cute stickers to layer and pop.  And the patterned papers also mix and match so well.

Well, back to work.  Be sure and check out the challenges going on now over on the Sampler blog.

Hugs.

Lucky - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Look at me...last week of swim season and I am here two days in a row.  Yesterday was spent in a haze of making laminated "all access passes", name badges, meal tickets, and other assorted items for our big cabana meet this weekend.  I did manage to sneak in a little "me" time though and create this....

For Ainsley's birthday we took a trip to the spa.  She and five girlfriends were treated to manicures and pedicures while sipping sparkling cider.  Yep....spoiled.  But, this was her birthday party so......
I love the colors in the July kit, Summer Camp.  The colors and the patterns are so fun and whimsical.  I think this may be becoming my new style?
Lots and lots of pop dots used here to give the stickers, die cuts, and fussy cut elements more dimension.
Don't you just love that look on her face.  I think she and her friends decided this was the best birthday party ever!

Well, be sure and check out all the other fun things the Sampler design team has made with this kit as well as the sketch and card challenges (still time to play).

Hugs.

Blast Off for the Summer

Hi everyone!  Hooray for Friday!!!  Not sure if I am excited for the weekend or not tho, to be honest.  Tomorrow we have our cabana time trials and that means the coming of cabana swim season.  And that means that every Saturday, except one, from now till August we have a swim meet.  Yep....crack of dawn every Saturday we are at the pool.  sigh

That's enough whining from me for now.  How about a project?  Remember those party decorations I made for my friend Sue's grandson.  How about a layout to go with.
This too came from the Blast Off paper crafting kit from Hydrangea Hippo.
Love, love, love the gorgeous trims in this kit.  And the cute little doo dads were so much fun to play with.
And of course there was lots of fussy cutting.  Far too many great motifs to work with not to.

In other notes.....Today is the release of the June Sampler kit, Walking on Sunshine.  These kits just keep getting better and better.
And this month we have tons of fun planned.  Our sketch and card challenges, another blog hop, and a color challenge I will be hosting over on Ideas for Scrapbookers;  talk about chances to win some prizes!  If you aren't already following us over at the Sampler you will definitely want to so you can keep up on all the goings on.  And don't worry, you don't have to have the kit to play.

Well, speaking of kits....guess I need to dive into this one.

Hugs.

Tuesday - Blast Off

Hi everyone!  I hope those of you here, in the US enjoyed your Memorial Day.  I love a three day weekend and this one was much needed as we begin cabana swim season.  Today I have a post up over on the Sampler blog.  So be sure to check it out.

I really wanted to share with you a project I did for my good friend Sue.  Her grandson is soon to celebrate his fifth birthday so I helped out by making a few decorations for his party.  I used the super fun Blast Off paper crafting kit from Hydrangea Hippo.
A cute banner, a few pinwheels, cupcake toppers and a gift bag were all made using this kit and just a few items I am sure you have around the house (toothpicks, straws and adhesive).
I know he can't wait to share these goodies with his friends.
The weather here has been so gorgeous these last few weeks that I am sure these decorations will be perfect outside.
I am not quite sure what goodies Grandma is going to stash in the gift bag, but I am sure it will be great.
Well, we have a busy day around here so I best get back to work.

Hugs.
