Mason Jar Congratulations Centerpiece:
Step 1:  Select desired pieces from Core'dinations Paper Pops pack.  These packages come in a varitety of styles and colors for any celebration.  You will need 6 pieces of two sizes to create ornament shapes, plus two larger shapes for the title.
graduation_party_centerpiece_selectStep 2:  Fold shapes in half with the side you want displayed on the inside.
graduation_party_centerpiece_foldStep 3:  Glue shapes with the right side in together leaving a bit of a gap on the inner corner.  When all six are glued together you will get your ornament shape.
graduation_party_centerpiece_glueStep 4:  Thread ornament shapes and larger title shapes onto dowel.
graduation_party_centerpieceStep 5:  To create band on mason jar begin by cutting a sheet of the Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft Core paper to fit your jar.  I cut mine at 1 1/2 inch by 10, and emboss if desired.

Step 6:  In order to keep your embossing pattern consistent throughout your longer projects, you can cut a slit in the top of the folder allowing the paper to slide through.  I love this technique for embossing longer strips.
graduation_party_embossed_ringStep 7:  Simply wrap your mason jar with the Tim Holtz Kraft Core Metallic Paper and insert your dowel with the ornaments.  I used a bit of krinkle paper to hold everything together, but almost anything would work, from pebbles to marbles to little hard candies.

Graduation Cap Boxes Step 1:  Cut all pieces from the SVGCuts file.
graduation_party_cap_cutsStep 2:  Assemble as per their directions.  The Core'dinations Texture cardstock gives the cap a nice fabric finish.

Materials needed to make your own Football Party Supplies:

Banner Instructions:

Step 1:  Create pennant template by cutting a triangle 5×7 inches.

Step 2:  Trace template onto green Core’dinations Spotted paper.   I was able to get five pennants onto one 12×12 sheet.  For this banner you will need a total of seven pennants.

Step 3:  After cutting out the pennants add strips of White paper from the Core’dinations Neutrals to create yard lines.  I cut my strips 1/4 inch wide and trimmed to fit.
football banner_coredinations_nancy keslin_stripesStep 4:  Use Die Cut machine or punches to create the circles and letters for each pennant from both the white Core’dinations Neutrals paper and orange Spotted paper.  The orange circles were cut to 2 1/4 inches, the white circles to 2 inches and the letters to 1 1/2 inches.

Step 6:  Add holes to each pennant and string together using the Darice Hemp Cord.  I also added a football that I cut using my die cut machine for added interest.

Treat Holder Instructions:

Step 1:  Cut treat holder shape with electronic cutter or by hand using templates readily available on the internet (search for “popcorn box template”) using medium brown paper from the Core’dinations Neutrals pack.
popcornbox_coredinations_nancy keslin_cutsStep 2:  Sand using the Sand-it Gadget and remove excess paper dust with the Dust Buddy.  I love how the Dust Buddy removes all the paper fibers from both my project and work space.  The sanding gives the cardstock a nice weathered texture, similar to a football.
popcornbox_coredinations_nancy keslin_distressStep 3:  To create laces on your “football” treat holder, cut strips of white cardstock from the Core’dinations Neutrals 1/4 x 1 inch.  ( you will need six strips for each box)
popcornbox_coredinations_nancy keslin_lacesStep 4:  If you would like to add additional stripes to your “football” those are also cut at 1/4 inch and can be wrapped around the box and trimmed to fit.

Additional project:  To create football picks for the cupcakes, or they would be fun in sandwiches, I simply cut additional footballs with my electronic cutter and attached them to toothpicks with a bit of glue.

Circles of Fun - Photobooth Backdrop

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share with you this project I made a bit ago for Core'dinations.  A photobooth backdrop.  It is super easy to make, and looks fabulous as a background.

Circles of Fun Photo Booth Backdrop Supplies:

Step 1:  Select four colors of cardstock and cut large circles from two of each color.  I cut 16 circles from each 12x12 sheet of paper with my Cricut, but you could use a manual die cut machine, or even hand cut the shapes.  I ended up with a total of 128 circles which was more than enough to create a five foot wide backdrop.
photo_booth_backdrop_coredinations_nancy keslin_circles
Step 2:  Mix all shapes together to form a random pattern.
photo_booth_backdrop_coredinations_nancy keslin_colors
Step 3:  With sewing machine create garlands of eight to twelve circles by running machine with empty thread between each shape.  If you don't want to sew, you could glue, tape, or even staple the circles onto cording.
photo_booth_backdrop_coredinations_nancy keslin_sewing 1
Step 4:  Tie garlands to cording using a simple knot across a cord.
photo_booth_backdrop_coredinations_nancy keslin_knots
Step 5:  For a five foot backdrop I cut the cord to approximately 6 feet, giving me enough cording on the ends to tie to my structure or tape to the wall.
photo_booth_backdrop_coredinations_nancy-keslin_finished
I chose to hang my backdrop from tent poles, but you could easily tape it to a blank wall in your home.  There are many software packages available to take the photo booth photos for you, or you can have someone man the camera.  Whatever you decide, your friends and family are sure to have a great time.

Oh, and when packing it up till next time, gather each string and hold with a binder or paper clip so that the strands don't get tangled.  Trust me, that is no fun.  hee hee

If you are wondering what software to use?  I use Sparkbooth.  It is super simple to set up and run and we have used it many times with all ages to great success.

Everyday Eclectic - Hydrangea Hippo

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you a few projects I made using the super cute Everyday Eclectic paper crafting kit from the Hydrangea Hippo etsy store. This kit has been so much fun to play with.  I can't believe the number of projects I was able to create!

I love that the Hydrangea Hippo kits include so many unique embellishments.  And the Everyday Eclectic kit is no exception.  With the selection of fun metal medallions, sequins, flowers and gorgeous trims; this kit can be taken in almost any direction, from fun and funky to slightly shabby, this kit has something for everyone.

You know me and my love of mini albums....I couldn't resist adding bits of those super fun embellishments to each and every page.  hee hee

As a matter of fact, there were so many fun embellishments I couldn't resist adding a few to this cute little burlap bag I had lying on my desk.

And finally, something I have been dying to do for quite a while, a little fashion party.   I purchased the Fashion Forms book from Klutz and couldn't resist making a few items for a fun little party set.  I could never pull off these fashions myself, but they are so bright and cheerful, I might just be tempted to try.  hee hee
Needless to say I had a ton of fun with this kit.  The papers, the trims, the sequins and buttons, beads and baubles, the flowers.  What more can a girl ask for?

Hugs.
