Celebrate - the Sampler

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day today.  Me...just trying to recuperate after our crazy swim season.  Hard to believe summer is almost over.  sigh

Today I wanted to share with you another project I made using the Summer Camp kit from the Sampler.

These are photos from Ainsley's birthday party.  We found this huge beach ball.  All the girls had a great time playing with it.  No one had ever seen a beach ball so big.
I love that this kit is packed with so many fun embellishments, washi tape, ribbons, buttons and cute stickers to layer and pop.  And the patterned papers also mix and match so well.

Well, back to work.  Be sure and check out the challenges going on now over on the Sampler blog.

Hugs.

July Cards - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a few cards I made with my July kit, Summer Camp, from the Sampler.  I have been having so much fun with this kit and had a few things left over and since I had a few bits and pieces left over I thought to make some cards.  (go easy on me...not much of a card maker).

So many fun elements in this kit that I couldn't let go to waste.  I even used one of the stamps to create the center card.

Well, swim season is just about over here...I am so looking forward to getting back to my normal schedule.  While I wait...how about checking out a few new things over at the Sampler.  The June challenge winners and a simple little contest for a prize.

Hugs.

And They're Off - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day today.  Things here are starting to mellow as cabana swim season is now over!  Hooray!  Another successful year!

Today I wanted to share with you a project I made using the Summer Camp kit from the Sampler.   Every month these kits just seem to get better and better.  So many goodies packed into each and every kit.

Speaking of our cabana swim season, we are so very fortunate that the children can't wait every year to come back for the summer.  One of the reasons is of course all the fun events we host.  This year, we had a cardboard regatta.  The teams each build a boat using nothing but duct tape and cardboard.  The boat has to fit at least one person who paddles it across the pool and back.  Best time wins!   Here is Ainsley and her bestie Zoe going for the gold!  They made it across the pool and back in 1:37.  The fasted boat of the day.
Look at the smiles....these papers and embellishments are just perfect for documenting summer fun like this. The colors and cute embellishments just scream fun!
Of course, I left lots of room for journaling later.
Well, back to work for me.  Don't forget about the Sampler kit challenges.

March of the Penguins - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  It is that time again, time for another challenge from the Sampler kit club.  This month's sketch from Holly was so fun to work with...and you know I love this kit, Summer Camp.

Here is the sketch....
  And here is my take...
A few photos of Ainsley at the swim team event we call Penguin Madness.  A few of the adults come up with lots of fun, crazy games and relays for the children to play.  Such a great team building activity.  (although, they weren't exactly crazy about the orange passing...something about having to be so close to members of the opposite sex...at least the younger ones.  hee hee)

Be sure and hop over to the Sampler blog to see all the layouts and check out the card challenge.

Tuesday- The Sampler

Hi everyone!  I have received a few comments on my video post.  Don't forget...I will have some blog candy for one of the individuals who leaves me a comment here.

Today though, I wanted to share with you a layout I made using the July Kit, Summer Camp, from the Sampler.  I love these fun photos of Ainsley and her friend Sienna.  They are too cute together.  Their favorite game...."Teenager".  It consists of wearing high heels (often mine) and makeup; while carrying cell phones and jewelry in their purses.  lol
I love the colors in this kit, and the sweet little motifs.  So fun and whimsical.  (sorry about the weird colors, I just got a light box to photograph my projects and am still trying to figure it out.)  And on the subject of figuring it out...I am working on a second video!  This one is a tutorial so it will move at a slower pace and you can hear my voice...saying...."um" a lot!  lol

Well, crazy day here.  We have an added swim meet in the middle of the week, so.....

Hugs.
