The Sampler Card Set

Hi everyone!  Sorry I am a bit late, feeling a bit under the weather, a bit of a cold or something...and with the weather we are having today...

Well, anyway, today I wanted to share with you a set of cards I made using the February kit from the Sampler.  Love the colors in this kit and some of the embellishments were just too cute.

Fabulous - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend.  We had a great weekend here.  Today I want to share with you a project I made with the February kit from the Sampler.  Don't know if you have heard, but the Sampler is changing its direction next month and going to project based kits.  So, February is the last I will be working with them.  Not to worry though, I have some other great things in the works.  

Love when I have Brighton around.  After all these months, I still miss him so much.  He is such a sweet heart and always happy to pop into my selfies.

 Sorry about the terrible photo....The February kit came packed with tons of cute embellishments, and coupled with a few foam squares.....

The Sampler - Sneaks

January Scrapbooking with the Sampler

Hey everyone!  Today I want to share with you the projects I made using the January kit from the Sampler.  It isn't too late to grab this gorgeous kit (and you might want to as the January and February kits are perfect together...hint hint).  Anyway.....

 Filled with gorgeous papers and ribbons this kit  is just perfect for all your crafting needs

With the addition of some resist die cuts from and earlier kit and a few Pan Pastels, this layout of Ainsley at the Space Needle came together so quickly.  You wouldn't believe what it took for us to get her up the elevator, but once up there.....

 And of course, she loved Pike's Market.  Too bad it was so crowded the day we went.  sigh....

 Oh goodness....love some ribbon rose trims.  And it was nice to have a multi photo layout.  I find myself making more multi photo scrapbook pages these days.  hee hee

Finally, Mackenzie goofing for the camera.  lol  She loves her hats. And look at all the different faces in this multi photo scrapbook layout.  

 I used a bit of Luminarte silks and Twinkling H20s for this one and embossed the Core'dinations  cardstock for added dimension

Mixed Media with Creative Jump Start

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you a few projects I made for Creative Jump Start.  I have been having a great time watching the videos, learning some new techniques and relearning a few others.  What a great way to get the year started.  Gotta love new mixed media techniques

This first technique was one Nathalie shared... to use dusting pads (swiffer) to make embellishments.  What a cool texture those pads offer.  With the help of some Design Master Color Tool Spray I was able to get the pad to be a gorgeous blue.  Oh, and the Design Master Spray, left the fabric totally soft and pliable.  Gotta love that!

 Oh, hint, hint...this card also contains some goodies from the February kit from The Sampler.  hee hee

 Next up, A fun tag featuring a technique using masking tape from Marjie Kemper...um, wait...masking tape?  All I have is painter's tape.  sigh  Well, I tried.  I wasn't quite as successful with this technique as I had to gesso over my blue painter's tape to get a uniform background.  And of course, in the process lost a lot of the texture of the tape.  Guess I will need to pick some tape up and try again

Don't you love that girl....she is a stamp from Prima, Jamie Daugherty's new Bloom Girls.  Love it!

 The last project today was a quick and easy tag made with a packing tape transfer technique from Kaz Hall...yep, got plenty of that kind of tape.  lol.  I haven't done an image transfer in quite some time so this was super fun.

Well, that's it for me today.  I still have many ideas floating around in my head and hope to continue to be inspired all year by these videos.  Hope you had a crafty weekend.

Layout Love - The Sampler

Hi Everyone!  Remember a bit back I told you I managed to make bunches of fun things with my December kit from the Sampler?  Well....Here are two more layouts.

I really can't seem to stop with the different techniques on the background.  For this one I used bead medium.  So shiny when it hits the light, and such and interesting texture.

 I added in a bit of twine and some stamping to add interest.  And these photos of Mackenzie just crack me up.

 This photo of Brighton and Ainsley just makes me smile.  I am so happy my children are close.

A few (well, maybe more than a few) pop dots, some buttons and brads from my stash helped complete this page...which of course once again had a fun mottled background with the help of some ink and masks.

Cards, Cards, Cards - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  I don't know if you know this about me, but I am really not much of a card maker.  I don't know why...just not my thing.  Anyway, the December kit from the Sampler had so many gorgeous goodies in it, I couldn't let any go to waste....so cards it was.

All in all, I ended up with four 12x12 scrapbook pages, one of which was a double spread, and five cards.  Just a few odds and ends from the stash and some basic white cardstock.  Love the Sampler.

Patch - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Today I am sharing what I promise is the last project from my November Sampler kit.

I added a few buttons from my stash, but I love, love, love those huge acrylic letters from the Pier 1 collection!  Aren't they just fabulous?  And I of course had to add a bit of mist and mediums in my background.   I just can't seem to get away from creating my own background pages.   lol

Playday - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you another project from the December kit from the Sampler.  As my niece has gotten a little older she is much more outgoing and willing to come over and play.  One winter morning she decided to come play and we went out in the yard to have a tea party (gotta love California winters...lol)  Anyway, I was able to snap a few photos while she was setting the table.

I really think the December kit has got to be one of my favorites evah!  lol

Family Traditions - The Sampler

Hi Guys!

Look at me, trying to meet my New Years Resolution by actually not neglecting my blog.  lol

Today I wanted to share with you a project I made with the December kit from the Sampler.  Right now if you want a kit the best way is to email Holly directly or find us on Facebook.

I decided to do something a little different with this layout....a two pager with  4x6 photos.  I know, wow!  lol  But I have fallen in love with my little portable printer again and have found it so much easier, no more cutting photos.  lol

Anyway...

Love this fun kit.  The lovely chipboards, fun kraft sticker stars and the deer paper.  ***swoon***  I also added a bit of baker's twine (the twinery) and washi from my stash.

Love Across the Land - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Sorry I haven't been around much.  Just busy and well, to be honest, just not feeling it.

Today I want to share with you a couple of things I made with the Love Across the Lands kit from the Sampler.  

Mixed Media Tag using lots of the yummy goodies in this months kit.   the rub ons and flower were from my stash.

Birthday card made with Sizzix die and of course the most adorable wood hearts evah!

Another little card using the chipboard frames from the kit.  I also used the transparency to create a little shaker box, you can kinda see the little hearts inside...there are also a few little sequins.

Lots of fun little goodies in the September kit.  Loving those little wood hearts.  Something about wood.  sigh

Besties - the Sampler

Hello - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you my final project using the August kit, Royal Birthday Wishes, from the Sampler.  I am not usually much of a card maker, but today.....

I used bits of washi tape from a previous kit as well as lots of the stickers in this month's kit to create this special card.

Beach Board Walk - The Sampler

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you another project I made using the August kit, Royal Birthday Wishes from the Sampler.  I took the children and a few of their friends to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk for the day.  What a great time.  We spent a good part of the day playing on the beach and then hit the rides in the evening.  Of course, we had to finish off the day with icecream.  hee hee

I added a few items from a previous month's kit that I had lying about and colored my butterflies with some permanent markers to make them match my page.
