It's Better at the Beach

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you all.  I  hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was a bit busy, having Brighton home for spring break in between quarters, a bit of creating and my niece's fifth birthday party.

Today I want to share with you a project I made using some of my stash.  I am really trying to work through some of these older things, papers and half used packages of embellishments seem to find a way to pile up.

This is Mackenzie and a couple of friends at the beach a few weekends ago one of the afternoons of our swim meet.  Since none of the girls finaled, we decided it was much to beautiful of a day to mope around a headed over to the beach.  The girls had such a good time wandering down the beach and playing in the sand.  Well, not the same type of playing they did when they were younger....no buckets, mostly just drawing in the sand, hand stands, and jumping off rocks.  hee hee

J- Wall Decor

Good Morning everyone!  Hooray for Friday!!!!  It has been quite a week here, full of the usual insanity I affectionately refer to as my life.  I did however find time to create another little wall decor piece for my friend Jordan.

Lovely Pink Paislee, Spring Jubilee papers with tons of gorgeous Prima blooms, this project came together in no time.

Now to find a box to put this lovely, and a few other goodies, in.

Home for the Day - Prima Wishes and Dreams

Good morning everyone!  It is a rainy, dreary day here in San Jose, but I wanted to share with you this bright, sunny layout I made with the Wishes and Dreams collection from Prima.  I love the colors in this collection and couldn't wait to use them with these fun instant photos I took one afternoon when Brighton came home from school.

 This last quarter we didn't get to see much of Brighton as he had a crazy, tough schedule.  On Saturday afternoon he had computer problems so we agreed that he would come home Sunday morning and we would try and get it fixed.  Luckily, Phil is quite the computer wizard.  lol  In the end, Brighton was able to fix it himself with some of Phil's tools.  I was just happy to have him home for the day.  hee hee

Wall Art

Good morning friends!  Hope you are having a great day.  Today I want to share with you a project I made for a little friend of mine.   I found this sweet wooden piece at Hobby Lobby and couldn't resist adding a few extras to complete the look.

Her mother hates pink, so I tried to stay away from the obvious choice of shades of pink for the embellishments.  Instead I chose to focus on the gold in the background.

I have had this Webster's Pages embellishment in my stash for quite a while and it seemed to be the perfect item for the corner.

A few other odds and ends from the stash helped complete the project.

A Couple of Cards

Hi everyone!  I wanted to pop in today and share a couple of cards I made this week.

The first is for a baby shower I attended for one of my besties daughters.  She had an Alice in Wonderland theme so of course I couldn't resist making this card.

I printed the black and white image from the web and then water colored the image before adding a bit of Stickles and a bit of sparkle with my Galaxy pen.

 

For this next card I used my Sizzix window box die. (Kristina still has a few dies available at the Your Memories Here store on sale for $29.99)   I cut down the window box to focus more on the window.  A bit of pop and it looks like you are looking into a super fun party.  

I used many of the same techniques to color my window box as I used to create the home decor piece.  Sanding the Core'dinations cardstock and bits of ink to weather the wood.

Hi everyone!  Things are crazy busy around here these days.  Blogging wiith Darice is tons of fun, but keeps me really busy, and working far ahead.  I already have my projects going thru April and will be starting on May soon....crazy, huh.

Mixed Media Darling

Good Morning everyone and Happy St. Paddy's Day.  I hope that you had a great weekend and are having a lovely Monday.  Today I wanted to share with you a canvas I made back a few weeks ago on Oscar Sunday.  I have been meaning to get to this for a while, but I had some technical difficulties...dead battery, and of course I couldn't find the charger.  Oh well.  So, you get to see the first half...the how I make a canvas part...but not the "how to junk it up"...but really?  I think you can handle it.   I used a gelattos to stamp on my canvas.  So much fun.

So, without further ado....

And here is the finished piece.
