Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day! Me? Well, that still is waiting to be seen. I thought we were going to head over to the beach today...but the weather doesn't look so hot (literally, high of 65). And since I missed you yesterday...don't know where the day went. I thought I would share with you a project Ainsley made using my Cricut and the Paper Trimmings cartridge.
She turned the doily into a card merging two shapes.
Cut the top layer and embellished with a pink button. Yes, right now pink and green are her favorite colors.
A bit of printed vellum with a flower embellishment provides the party details.
I hope some of the girls RSVP soon.
Hugs.

A is for....
Ainsley! Hi everyone! Sorry I am a little late, but summer really is getting the best of me.
Today I wanted to share with you a quick project I made using Almanac papers and a few other goodies from my Your Memories Here grab bag.
Ainsley and I have been having a great time making art for her room, as you probably have guessed, and when I saw the huge letters on sale at Michaels we knew what our next project was. I used my Prima Comfort Craft Distress Tool to file the edges of the paper and then inked those edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy. And you know I couldn't resit adding a few flowers, pins and leaves from my grab bag.
Well, just a quick project today...back to work.
Hugs.

Mussel Madness - the Sampler
Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great day. Things have been very busy here as usual. Something about the summer and cabana swimming just seem to suck up my summer. Oh well....
Today I wanted to share with you a project I made using the Walking on Sunshine kit from the Sampler. A few months ago we were invited to a fabulous event at the beach. Lots of good food, good wine, good company...and mussel hunting. Nothing is better than mussels you pick fresh yourself.
OK, well...it was a little cold. But look at the view....and the spread. It really was a great day.
I love the fun papers in this month's kit and I know you will to...be sure and grab one today. And don't forget... There is still time to play with the color challenge over at Ideas for Scrapbookers and the sketch and card challenges on the Sampler blog. Lots of great prizes to be won. Be sure and check them out.
Hugs.

Busy Blogging
Hi everyone! Sorry I am a bit late today, but I have been crazy busy....doing what? blogging everywhere but here! lol
You can see a recent mini book made with coffee sleeves over on the Bind-it-All blog. And a distress stain tutorial over at Ideas for Scrapbookers.
So, What do I have for you, here? How about a project I did a few weeks ago for Bind-it-All, featuring the Display-it-All and of course, bound with my Bind-it-All and o-Wires.
I have had this fun recipe album from Melissa Frances in my stash for a while, just waiting to be embellished and filled.
Cooking at home daily has definitely created some "go-to" recipes and I decided this would be the perfect place to store them so I don't have to keep digging them out.
And the use of the Display it All keeps the recipes up off the counter top. Which can get quite messy, especially when the children or dh cook.
And you know I had to shabby the stand up, adding crackled paint and lots of lovely goodies from my stash, many from the Hydrangea Hippo etsy store. (she has got some of the most yummy trims).
Well, gotta get a few things done for swim team today.
Hugs.

Walking on Sunshine - The Sampler
Hi everyone! Sorry I have been missing again. Yesterday was spent trying to make videos! Eeek, who knew it was so difficult to make instructional videos? I hope to have it available for you soon. But, today I want to share with you a project I made using my June kit, Walking on Sunshine, from the Sampler. This kit is full of some of my favorite things. Chevrons, gingham, flowers and interesting font stickers.
I love, love, love, the view master paper in the kit. The view master was definitely a favorite toy growing up.
There is still plenty of time to participate in the color challenge the Sampler is hosting over at Ideas for Scrapbookers, and don't forget about the sketch and card challenges here on this blog. So many great prizes to be won!!!!Hugs.

It's Mad Fun - MMD
Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!!! I hope you are ready for a great weekend. I can't believe how fast this week has flown by. Crazy.
Today I wanted to share with you a project I made with Heather's sketch 19. (yes, that Heather...the one I always am talking about.)
So, here is the sketch....
And my take....
Lots of American Crafts Dear Lizzy, mixed with some trims from the Hydrangea Hippo Etsy shop were used to create this layout of Mackenzie at Penguin Madness (our swim team's spirit relays).
I have really got to get better with my photos. Just struggling these days with my new desire to take the photos upright. sigh
OK, well....busy, busy, busy.
Hugs.

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!! I hope you are having a great day today. Me? Lots to do around the house. Cross your fingers that I am able to catch up around here. I have been enjoying these early, lazy days of summer....but that means not much is getting done. Oh well...as my children always say...YOLO! hee hee
Well, today I wanted to share with you a project I made using the super fun Spring Jubilee collection from Pink Paislee. I love the fun, bright colors in these papers and couldn't resist using them to scrapbook these photos of Mackenzie's birthday.
And you know I had to add lots of yummy Prima flowers to this layout and a Spring Jubilee shipping tag to document the day.
OK, well back to work.....Lots to do...lots to do.

Fun Day
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day today. Me....I have been cleaning. After our freak rainstorm the other day, I needed to get out in the yard, uncover the furniture and clean up the mess left behind. I doubt I will be scrapping photos of that in this cute little mini album I made with my leftover October Afternoon supplies and Scraptastic kit.
Lately I have had so many extras left over from my kits that I just haven't known what to do with. So, I decided to start creating some little mini books with my Bind-it-All. Just for fun. I love that I can use all different sizes of papers in my books by just varying where the o wires go.
Well, Back to work.
Hugs.

Your Memories Here - Songbird
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day. Me... More of the same. Lots of swim practice, housework, driving and hopefully a bit of time to play with paper.
Today I wanted to share with you a layout I made using some gorgeous papers from the Songbird collection by Prima and a sketch I found from Sketch Savvy.
I love the soft beautiful colors in this paper collection (I bet you didn't guess that from the number of projects I have been posting. hee hee) I mixed in a few embellishments from the Almanac collection as well. That is the great thing about a Prima grab bag from Your Memories Here....You get so many yummy goodies to mix and match.
You know I had to distress all my papers with my Comfort Craft Distress Tool and some Distress Ink.
Well, I hope you are having a great day. Back to work for me.
Hugs.

Astronomy
Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day!!! Me...getting ready for the transit of Venus. I have always been interested in astronomical events and these last few weeks haven't disappointed. First the Solar Eclipse, and today the transit. In just a few hours I will lug my huge ole telescope out to the yard so that we can watch. And yes, I have a solar filter...I will not (and you shouldn't either) ruin my eyes looking at the sun.
A few weeks ago we watched the solar eclipse and I had to of course take photos...which meant this....
goodness...who knew that taking photos thru the eyepiece of a telescope would be so difficult. lol
Mackenzie of course refused to let me take any photos of her...sigh. Hopefully today!
I used some old miscellaneous Fancy Pants papers to complete this layout, along with some brads from Echo Park left over from my Sampler kit.
Well, back to work for me.
hugs.

Rainy Monday
Hi everyone! Sorry I am a little late but I spent a good chunk of my morning covering my patio furniture since it looks like it is going to rain. Not something I was really prepared for since it is June and rain this time of year is quite unusual in Northern California.
Speaking of Northern California, along with our weather, this part of the country is also known for producing some great wines. Phil and I occasionally get the opportunity to try wines (I think the nearest winery is only 7 miles, and one of our favorites is just 15). But keeping them straight; remembering which wines we have had and would like to buy, and which we are not interested in purchasing can be difficult. I decided to create a small wine journal to save our tasting notes and wine labels.
I used my Bind-it-All with the 7.5 x 5 acrylic covers with some older Webster's Pages papers to create this little journal. I love the acrylic covers. Not only are they super light weight, but I enjoy playing with the translucent properties. And, being that I kept most of the goodies on the inside, I can slip this into my purse if we are going out for the evening.
I added a little pocket to hold labels I made to write tasting notes.
And here....a completed page. Yep, it was a good one. hee hee
OK, this isn't totally flat...but other than this little flower????
And the lovely trims I tied to the o-wires???
Since I have made this album I have collected a few more labels. I just need to figure out a better way of getting them off the bottle. Any ideas?
Hugs.

Blast Off for the Summer
Hi everyone! Hooray for Friday!!! Not sure if I am excited for the weekend or not tho, to be honest. Tomorrow we have our cabana time trials and that means the coming of cabana swim season. And that means that every Saturday, except one, from now till August we have a swim meet. Yep....crack of dawn every Saturday we are at the pool. sigh
That's enough whining from me for now. How about a project? Remember those party decorations I made for my friend Sue's grandson. How about a layout to go with.
This too came from the Blast Off paper crafting kit from Hydrangea Hippo.
Love, love, love the gorgeous trims in this kit. And the cute little doo dads were so much fun to play with.
And of course there was lots of fussy cutting. Far too many great motifs to work with not to.
In other notes.....Today is the release of the June Sampler kit, Walking on Sunshine. These kits just keep getting better and better.
And this month we have tons of fun planned. Our sketch and card challenges, another blog hop, and a color challenge I will be hosting over on Ideas for Scrapbookers; talk about chances to win some prizes! If you aren't already following us over at the Sampler you will definitely want to so you can keep up on all the goings on. And don't worry, you don't have to have the kit to play.
Well, speaking of kits....guess I need to dive into this one.
Hugs.
