Hi everyone! It is a beautiful day here, finally some nice weather to enjoy...before the rain starts again. I am on my way out to grab some of that sun, but before I do.....
I wanted to drop in and share a layout I made of my niece...She is growing so fast.
She came over and we were playing with stickers...which of course she stuck all over her face. hee hee. Bits of a kit from Scraptastic and a few gorgeous Prima blooms and resins tie the page together.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday. It is a beautiful day here after a long night of rain. Life here is still a bit crazy, but I wanted to share with you a quick card I made for my nieces third birthday on Monday.
I tried to keep it super simple by using my Londonerry A4 paper from Prima. I love that the backside of the paper is white, so I didn't need to use a liner. I added a few Prima roses and little snip of a Prima bling flourish. A few Authentique letters for my sentiment and a tiny Prima butterfly accented with a bit of stickles and I was done.
Don't forget you can still sign up for the Sweet Retreat from Your Memories Here. I am just crushed that I probably won't be able to attend since airfare is so expensive from California, but if you are in the area.....

These kits are only available from the Sweet Retreat, they will not be taught in any other classes in the US! sigh.....
OK, pitty party over.....back to work for me.

I splattered a bit of the Mr. Hueys on my background and once again used my felt to create some flowers.
Don't forget, there is still time to enter the Card and Sketch challenges over on The Sampler blog.Hugs.

Rainy Days and Sundays....
Hi everyone! Well, it has been a crazy weekend so far, with my nieces birthday party yesterday and tons of rain it is busy, busy, busy. Hoping to find some time today to play, but wanted to share a few things with you before hand.
My cute little niece playing with those silly paper mustaches again! Love, love, love those bling pieces I picked up at my LSS from ZVA. This was made using more of the Authentique Loyal paper I picked up there as well.
And over in The Sampler news....seems we have some extra products from this month's kit. You can pop over to the blog, and leave a comment on this post, for a chance to win some!
In the news at Your Memories Here.....All the winter 2012 grab bags are sold out! I sure hope you got yours. Kristina is working now on getting some new things loaded into the store but is really busy getting ready for.....
Oh, how I wish I could go to Sweet Retreat. Airfare to Pittsburgh is just more than I have in my budget right now. But it looks like it is going to be an amazing event. (can't tell you how often I have checked airfare hoping for a miracle). If you are in the area or in easy travelling distance, or have a bigger budget than mine......
This is your chance to work with some of Prima's top educators to make projects like this...
Imagine an entire weekend devoted to crafting with some of the latest and greatest Prima products. Sigh...guess I am off to check airfare again.
OK, time to get started on my busy day. Hope yours is great.
Hugs.

You Rock
Hi Everyone! Well, it is Thursday and things here are just as crazy busy as ever. Dentist appointments, school, swim and a quick trip to my LSS to drop this off....
I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers to finish this Doodlebug layout. Doodlebug isn't usually one of my "go to" paper lines, but I thought I would try something a little different this time out. And when I saw the guitar paper, I knew I had to use it with some photos of Mackenzie.
Well, anyway...life is crazy and I should get back to it. Hope you are having a great day.
Hugs.

Oopsies...and Old + New =....
Hi everyone! Let me start out by saying I am so sorry, but typepad seems to be having some technical difficulties so The Sampler has been unable to get the challenge post uploaded. Keep an eye out as I am sure it will be soon.
Last week I received my grab bag from Your Memories Here. I couldn't wait to jump right in and play! Of course I was a little leery cutting into all these new packages, so I mixed some of my older Prima Papers with a few of the newer Prima products.
I gathered a mix of old and new flowers to form my flower cluster; varying the sizes and colors for interest and depth; and added more resist canvas and some Prima Say it in Crystals.
On the canvas pieces I used multiple colors to add dimension.
I hope you are having a great day. Be sure and check back soon for an update on The Sampler challenges.
Hugs.

Tuesday's with The Sampler
Hi everyone, I am here today to share with you a project I made with the March Kit from The Sampler. Every month when I receive my kit I get so excited, and this month is no exception. The colors and patterns are fabulous! I couldn't wait to jump right in and play. (To be honest...I have already made 5 layouts and 3 cards...hee hee)
This month's kit includes a bottle of Mr. Huey's White Mist which is a new favorite of mine. I love sprinkling drops onto my cardstock to add texture; and the three different alphabets open up a huge range of title and journaling possibilities. Be sure to grab your kit today! I am sure they are going to go fast.
And be sure to come back later today for this month's sketch and card challenges.
Hugs.

Monday...
Hi everyone, Monday here and I am by to share more projects I recently made. It has been cold and rainy for the last week which has meant lots of time to play.
I made this one using the new Loyal collection from Authentique and threw in some bits and pieces from other manufacturers to create this Pagemaps design.
I can't believe how big Brighton is getting, so mature, so...well "big"! I am so proud of him!
And here is Phil and I at the annual Bridge School Benefit! I love this concert and don't know why we don't try and go every year. I used a sketch from my good friend Heather who keeps coming up with the most amazing design ideas. Lots of older Basic Grey papers and a few Prima embellishments.
Well, it is a busy day around here and I really should get a few more things done.
Hugs.

Thursday...
Hi everyone. I am trying to be a better blogger...and the projects are piling up around here, so I thought I would share a few that I did from our 2004 trip to Disneyland. I have soooo many Disney trips to scrap that sometimes I feel overwhelmed by it all and just don't know where to start. I have decided to go back to the first set I haven't scrapped and work forward from there. Of course, that means I have seven trips left to scrap, three of which are cruises, and one which is Disney World. Oh goodness...I get stressed just thinking about it. hee hee
So let's sneak back in time.....
We have always had the most magical experiences at Disneyland. On this day, we snuck into the restaurant for Captain Mickey's lunch (no longer exists) not too long before they were going to close. After a relaxing lunch, we noticed that we were the only family left out on the patio. Before we knew it, our children were playing hide and seek with Mickey and his friends. Who gets to do that? hee hee
I used a sketch from my good friend Heather to create this one. Lots of Reminisce papers as well as a few EK Success and Creative Imaginations embellishments.
This one is based on a Pagemaps sketch and features a mix of patterned paper scraps.
Well, gotta get back to work around here.
Hugs.

More Tea Anyone?
Hi everyone, today I wanted to share with you the little teapot I created to accompany the little teacups I made last week.
It took me quite a while and a number of attempts to get the right shape and size, but I think I finally did it. The look of the Prima papers with lots of yummy trims and a sweet little Prima flower from the Your Memories Here store really made the "pot" come to life; and the addition of a huge bloom with a bit more lace for the lid completed the look.
Needless to say, Ainsley is very happy with her little doll tea set and is looking forward to lots of parties with her friends and their dolls soon.
Here is the link for the teapot and cups template if you would like to try your hand at them. I am kinda an old fashioned girl in this respect...my templates were made by hand with a ruler, pencil, and paper, so my good friend Heather attempted to clean up my chicken scratch and digitize the parts for me so that you could have a template! Huge shout out for her help!!!!! You will need two of the spout pieces if you want it to have more dimension. I painted the underside of my papers with a bit of gold paint and then glittered for a more finished look.
Have fun with your creations today.
Hugs.

Tuesday's with the Sampler and a Little Sneak
Hi everyone, today I want to share another project I made using the Oh Penelope kit from The Sampler. I know you are all waiting anxiously for the March kit, I promise it is worth the wait. Lots of yummy products fresh from CHA (which is why they are delayed). I feel really bad about not having blogged for almost a week, but...life has been crazy busy...I know...I say it all the time...sorry......
More fun with mustaches. hee hee. I had the paper mustaches lying around and the girls (including my niece) couldn't wait to play more. They had so much fun sticking them to their upper lips and making silly faces. This kit was so much fun, and I still can't believe how many projects I made (five 12x12 layouts and 4 cards).
Well, how about a little peek of the March kit....while we wait for the full reveal.
Not some of the best photos...but a little peak none the less. (the weather/light here is pretty bad.)
Don't forget, there is still time to enter the card and sketch challenges! Hope you are having a great day.
Hugs.

Wednesday Tea Party?
Hi everyone, today I have a cute little tea set inspired by Pinterest. I found some cute little tea cups here and wanted to give them a go. Of course, she had made hers with chipboard and paper maiche, so I had to alter the template a bit to make it work with patterned paper only.
I used some lovely Prima papers from the grab bag I received from Your Memories Here, then layered on some beautiful lace and flowers.
I used more lace on top of a large flower from the Prima Taffy Collection for the base.
Finally, I brushed a bit of watered down Decopauge onto the insides of the cup and sprinkled them with glitter.
Of course, there had to be four as Ainsley has decided that they need to be for her American Girl dolls. hee hee And did I mention, she needs a tea pot as well? Making a template for that has been just a bit of a challenge. So, be sure and come back next week for the teapot. I hope also to have the templates I made ready to share then as well....just in case someone in your life needs a little tea set. Until then....
Hugs.

Tuesday
Hi everyone, Today I wanted to give you a peek into my scrap space and share a card I made using theSampler's Oh Penelope kit.
I have been admiring many scrap spaces all over the internet and since I am getting ready to redecorate my space the inspiration has been a great help. Here is my space now.
(sorry about the image quality, checking out a new camera and I haven't quite figured it out.)
I am going to add more light to the room and maybe paint the walls white. Go with red accents? Maybe a country feel? Not ready to jump in yet...but the wheels are turning. If you have any great ideas, please be sure to share!
And here is a card I made with the fabulous Oh, Penelope kit.
I used a bit of old book paper behind the Hambly transparency and a few scraps of different quilled papers to form the bouquet. Don't forget, if you have a card to share using this month's Sampler challenge photo or a layout using the sketch, you still have time to link them up.
Hugs.

Friday....
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day and looking forward to the weekend. We have a swim meet here...last one before JO (junior olympics) so stress is pretty high as the children try to ensure they make their times to get into that meet.
I have been scrapping just for me some more...and enjoying it. Getting some things out of the stash and onto the page. I need to get some serious space made, not only for new product, but because I feel overwhelmed and cluttered with all I currently have. Maybe I should think about doing a LSS flea market? Maybe a few RAKs? Decisions, Decisions.
One thing I have decided is that some of my pages are seriously lumpy. (Like that took a lot of thought). I have been working with a friend on getting those stacks of pages into albums and let me just say that it isn't pretty sometimes. hee hee....Not that I am giving up the lumps and bumps, but maybe it might be better to occasionally scrap a little more flat. And with that....
Ainsley! Have you ever heard of Bucky Balls? They are these teeny, super strong magnets. My children love them...Ainsley especially loves to create with them, and on this day she created a tiny pyramid. She was so proud of herself and couldn't wait to share.
I used some Random Crate Paper to build this one. (pun intended). And more of those fabulous wooden Pink Paislee alphas (this time colored with distress stain).I kinda miss some of the dimension.....
But I am sure my poor post bound album will be happy.
Well, back to work. Have a great weekend.
Hugs.

Thursday
Hi everyone! Today I thought I would pop in and share a few things I have been working on. Things I made for me...not for a class, not for a DT assignment, just because. It seems that lately I am always making something for someone else....it is nice to just sit back and create. I used some older supplies and photos from last Thanksgiving. I had a lot of fun creating these, and of course had a huge sense of accomplishment when done because nothing makes me happier these days than using up older goodies. hee hee
First off, Ainsley.....
And now, Mackenzie.....
So, what have you created lately?
Hugs.
Nancy
First off, Ainsley.....
Prima Marketing papers, stickers, flowers and bling; American Crafts ribbon rose trim, 3Birds Design, lace doily |
Glitz Design papers, transparency; Websters Pages Sparkler, Prima Marketing blooms, alpha; 3Birds Design doily |
Hugs.
